S.M. Naqvi

S.M. Naqvi attended Mashkoor Art School, where, under the guidance of principal Mashkoor Raza and dedicated teachers, he completed a four-year diploma in graphic design in 1999. During his studies, he distinguished himself by winning the Quaid-e-Azam Competition Award in 1995 and securing first prize in the Dr. Luter Martin Art Exhibition Competition.

Following his education, Naqvi began his career as an illustrator in an advertising company. To ensure his artistic skills were nurtured rather than diminished, he turned to capturing the beauty of natural landscapes and notable sights on canvas, expressing his unique perspective.

He showcased his talent at the Karachi Art Council Thesis Exhibition in 1999, marking the beginning of his exhibition journey. Since then, he has participated in numerous group exhibitions, including notable venues such as PC Hotel Karachi in 2000, UAE Dubai in 2001, the Pakistan Arts Council and Pak Wirsa Art Gallery in 2002, Philadelphia, USA in 2003, Ejaz Art Gallery in 2004, and Saatchi Art Gallery in the United Kingdom in 2013. In 2014, he exhibited at Art Citi Art Gallery in Karachi, further establishing his artistic presence.
