Shahzad Zar

Shahzad Zar began his artistic journey at the age of eighteen when he courageously approached S. Ali Imam at the Indus Gallery in 1995 for guidance. As a self-taught artist with a keen interest in collage and mixed media, Zar's early work was experimental, incorporating wood shavings arranged in gradient shades on a surface. Recognizing his potential, S. Ali Imam mentored him over the next four years, guiding him through a structured course that included calligraphy.

When Imam felt that Zar was ready, he organized the artist's first solo exhibition at the Indus Gallery in 1999. Since then, Zar has continued to thrive, evolving as an artist and captivating art enthusiasts with his visually delightful work.
