Collection: Mansur Aye

Mansur Aye, an artist without formal training, made a significant impact on the world of fine art with his tranquil creations. Despite the profound loss of such a remarkable talent in 2008, he remains alive in our hearts through his exceptional artworks, cherished by many. Aye was one of the few artists in Pakistan to embrace modern art wholeheartedly, establishing a unique place in the art world over his 40-year career.

He became renowned for his moon-faced girls, depicted in various guises and sizes. The spontaneity in his brush strokes perfectly captured the emotions of peace and shyness on their faces. His skillful use of intriguing color combinations and gestural delineations added depth to his work, conveying the moods and gestures of the girls with remarkable finesse.

Aye excelled in artistic versatility across various mediums, including pencil, paint, chemicals, watercolor, acrylic, oil paint, and mixed media. He also explored compositions featuring still life objects, male musicians, and nudes, showcasing his diverse artistic range.
